National Councillors
The conduct of the Institute's affairs is vested in the national Council. The Council is charged with the policy development, management and direction of the Institute. At the 22 May 2010 Council meeting, the following members were elected for the 2010 - 2011 term.

Rowena has 25 years experience in dispute resolution as a commercial lawyer and dispute resolution practitioner with experience in banking, primary industries, major regional water storage infrastructure, hospital, health and aged care and in the management of church and other complaint/ resolution processes. Rowena was formerly the Sugar Industry Commissioner for Queensland and has served as chair and director on a number of water infrastructure, health and not-for-profit boards. |

Warren Fischer is the managing director of Alternative Dispute Resolution Services Pty Ltd and during the past 25 years has worked in Australia, Indonesia and the United Kingdom as a Civil and Structural Engineer. Warren has undertaken feasibility studies, design, construction, project and contract management in the building, construction and mining arenas. Warren presently practices exclusively in alternative dispute resolution and associated fields in the building, civil, mining and body corporate arenas. Neil Turner is the CEO and a Principal Consultant of Construction and Contract Services Pty Ltd. He has more than 40 years experience in the development, delivery and operation of major community infrastructure in both public and private sectors. Roles have included Managing Director, GM and Director of major public and private enterprises. Experience includes resolution of large and complex disputes relating to infrastructure, multi-disciplinary engineering, building and construction generally, inter-agency, inter-personal and industrial relations issues. |

Scott Ellis is a barrister at Francis Burt Chambers, Perth. He practices in the areas of commercial litigation and alternative dispute resolution. He is accredited as a mediator by Leadr and is on the WA Supreme Court List of Mediators. He is also a graded arbitrator and an adjudicator registered under the Construction Contracts Act 2004 (WA). He is a part time member of the Superannuation Complaints Tribunal and is a referee under the Insurance Ombudsman Scheme. He was a Commissioner of the District Court of Western Australia in 2006 and before that a partner at Freehills for a number of years. |

Graeme Robinson works in the international mining and construction industry in the management and construction of multi billion dollar projects and as the determiner of disputes in Australia as arbitrator and court referee, and mediator of mining and construction disputes in Australia, the Pacific Islands, Asia, and the Middle East. He is the NSW Chapter vice Chairman and mediation committee convenor. |

Jennifer has spent approximately 13 years in the fields of construction, dispute resolution and contract administration and is currently engaged as a Contract Administrator on Thiess John Holland’s Airport Link Project in Brisbane - the largest civil construction and infrastructure project undertaken in Australia ($4.7B). Prior to that Jennifer was employed as a Contract Administrator in Townsville on the $119M Ring Road Project - Stages 2 and 3. Prior to commencing a career in Contract Administration, Jennifer acted as the Queensland Chapter Administrator of the Institute of Arbitrators and Mediators Australia for approximately 5 years. During that time, Jennifer established and administered the Queensland Chapter as an Authorised Nominating Authority pursuant to the Building and Construction Industry Payments Act (Qld) 2004. |
