Prejudice - Mediation subsidies
The Australian - 26/05/2006, Page 28

IAN Callinan's opening address to the national conference of the Institute of Arbitrators and Mediators tomorrow looks set to be a crowd-pleaser.
Our spies tell us that the High Court judge will be discussing whether the time has come to provide state subsidies for mediation.
If that doesn't appeal to his audience, nothing will.
The conference has attracted some of the nation's leading mediators and arbitrators, including former NSW chief justice Laurence Street, Native Title Tribunal president Graeme Neate and former commonwealth solicitor-general Gavan Griffith.
It is being held at Palm Cove, north Queensland.
